Asturias ( 23rd May- 28th May, 2010)
After eight months of hard work, letter and email exchanges, as well as posts to tuenti, we finally met in Mieres. In students' words, it has been "an awesome experience", "we are looking forward to meeting again, but this time in Andalucia.
1. Programme of activities:
Sunday, 23 rd May
- Arrival in Mieres
- Welcome and accommodation in the Youth Hostel (Bustiello)
Monday, 24th May
Morning
- 9.30 am: Welcome to school/ Presentation of the programme/ Guided tour at school
-10.30 am: BREAK
- 11.30 am: Official welcome at school
- 12.45 am: Reception at Town Hall
Tuesday, 25th May
Morning
- Visit to Gijón - LUNCH (picnic in Gijón)
Afternoon
- The Mining Museum
Wednesday, 26th May
- Visit to Cangas de Onís and Covadonga (picnic)
Thursday, 27th May
Morning
Activities:
- Differences between our bilingual sections (Explain them using visual aids, such as posters)
- Differences between their classrooms and materials
- Compare both towns
- Fresh ideas for future projects
Afternoon
- Our school MUSICAL, let's sing
- Espicha in Cenera
Friday, 28th May
- Time to say goodbye!
